The art of paying attention

A little closer
to the world.

Still Earth is a place to keep the landscapes that move you. Photographs lead; the journal follows.

Real places. Real photographs.

The launch collection uses openly licensed photographs, credited below. These are editorial sample essays, not photographs taken by the site owner. Seasonal themes and journey routes are illustrative; capture dates and camera details are shown only when supplied.

A quieter kind of sharing.

New journeys begin private. You choose when to make a journey public, and photographs are reviewed before appearing publicly. Embedded GPS metadata is removed from display images. Map positions appear only with your permission, rounded to about 0.1 degrees. Location names and captions can still identify a place, so share them thoughtfully.
